Wanderer (SP 2440)


Motor Boat:

  • The second Wanderer was built in 1913 by Craig Brothers, Norfolk, VA
  • Commissioned 10 April 1917
  • Delivered to the Navy 12 April 1917
  • Struck from the Navy Register 30 December 1918 and returned to her owner, R. F. Barret of Norfolk
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 3 t.
  • Length 33' 6"
  • Beam 9'
  • Draft 2' 6"
  • Speed 8.25 kts.
  • Complement: Three
  • Propulsion: One 4-cylinder 35hp Sterling gasoline engine, one shaft
