ex-Floating Derrick No. 37 (ID 2635)


Derrick Barge: Built in 1914 as Derrick Barge No. 70 at New Brighton, NY for the McAllister Brothers of New York City; Acquired by the Navy 2 July 1918 and placed in service as Floating Derrick No. 37 (ID 2635); Reclassified as a Floating Crane, YD-37 in 1920 and as a Freight Lighter, YF 196 in 1924; Sold 3 April 1931. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 1188 t. (with an 82-foot steel boom for lifting loads); Length unknown; Beam unknown; Draft unknown; Speed non-self propelled; Complement unknown; Armament none.
