  • The second Snapper was built in 1906 by Elisha James Tull Ship and Engine Building Co., Pocomoke City, MD
  • Acquired by the Navy 14 September 1918 at Norfolk, VA
  • Commissioned USS Snapper (SP 2714), 5 October 1918
  • Struck from the Navy Register 18 August 1919
  • Sold 11 September 1919 to the Neptune Line of New York City for $5,000
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 60 t.
  • Length 84'
  • Beam 14' 2"
  • Draft 4' 6"
  • Speed 7.9 kts.
  • Complement: Five
  • Propulsion: One 75hp Automatic Machine Co. gasoline engine, one shaft.
