  • Built in 1917 as Mascotte by Great Lakes Engineering Works, Ecorse, MI for B. Peterson of Oslo, Norway
  • Requisitioned by The United States Shipping Board (USSB) in April 1917
  • Launched 12 December 1917
  • Acquired by the Navy 26 September 1918 and commissioned USS Lake Elizabeth (ID 2957) the same day
  • Struck from the Navy Register 19 July 1919
  • Decommissioned, 25 July 1919 and returned to the USSB
  • Sold in 1926 to the Ford Motor Co. of River Rouge, MI
  • Scrapped in 1927.

  • Displacement 3,300 t.
  • Length 261'
  • Beam 43' 6"
  • Draft 19' 6"
  • Speed 9.5 kts.
  • Complement 52
  • Armament: One 3"/50 mount
  • Propulsion: Two single ended boilers, one 1,200hp vertical triple expansion steam engine, one shaft.
