  • Built in 1917 as War Banner by the Chicago Shipbuilding Co., Chicago, IL
  • Renamed Lake Worth before completion
  • Launched 15 September 1917
  • Acquired by the Navy 16 December 1917
  • Commissioned USS Lake Worth (ID 2997), 26 February 1918
  • Decommissioned 2 August 1919 and returned to the United States Shipping Board
  • Sold in 1920 to Lloyd Royal Belge S.A. of Antwerp, Belgium and renamed Phoenicier
  • Stranded and sunk during a gale, 11 October 1923, arriving at Memel, Germany from Blyth, England with coal
  • Raised seven months later and towed to Memel on 4 May 1924
  • Declared a constructive total loss, sold in July 1924 to Stelp and Leighton, Ltd. of London, England and repaired and renamed Amberstone
  • Sold in 1928 to J.A. Haarberg of Bergen, Norway and renamed Orland
  • Sunk 29 April 1940 by German air attack off Midsund, Norway.
