Betty Jane I (SP 3458)


Motorboat:

  • Built in 1913 by the Electric Boat Co. (Elco Co.), Bayonne, NJ
  • Acquired by the Navy 4 September 1917 and commissioned USS Betty Jane I the same day
  • Designated SP-3458 in September 1918
  • Struck from the Navy Register and returned to her owner 17 January 1919
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Length 36'
  • Beam 6' 6"
  • Draft 1' 8"
  • Speed 24 kts.
  • Propulsion: One 4-cylinder, 50hp Elco gasoline engine, one shaft.
