  • The first John Rodgers was built in 1883 by Ward, Stanton & Company, Newburgh, New York
  • Commissioned USLHT John Rodgers in 1883
  • Acquired by the Navy 11 April 1917
  • Returned to the Lighthouse Service on 1 July 1919
  • Decommissioned in 1921
  • Sold in 1922
  • Fate unknown.
