  • Built in 1917 by Cook, Welton and Gemmell, Ltd., Beverley, England for the Kingston Steam Trawling Co., Ltd., Hull, England
  • Purchased by the Admiralty prior to completion
  • Launched 7 July 1917
  • Completed 24 December 1917
  • Loaned to the U.S. Navy 28 May 1919 and commissioned UST Thomas Buckley the same day
  • Decommissioned 7 October 1919 and returned to the Admiralty the same day
  • Sold in 1922 to the Kingston Steam Trawling Co., Ltd., of Hull, England
  • Renamed Ceylonite 27 November 1922
  • Sold to the Taylor Steam Fishing Co., Ltd., of Grimsby, England
  • Sold 22 June 1939 to the Saint Andrew's Steam Fishing Co., Ltd., of Hull
  • Requestioned by the Royal Navy 9 April 1940 and commissioned HMT Ceylonite (FY 1853)
  • Fitted out as a Minesweeper in September 1941
  • Laid up in January 1946
  • Returned to her owner 22 May 1946
  • Sold 9 October 1947 to Joseph Croan of Newhaven, Edinburgh, Scotland
  • Sold for scrap 14 June 1960 to Shipbreaking Industries, Ltd. of Charlestown, Fife, Scotland
  • Delivered to Charlestown 14 June 1960
  • Broken up 12 June 1961.
