Freight Boat:

  • The first Pompano was built in 1906 at Pocomoke City, MD
  • Commissioned 15 September 1917
  • Decommissioned 31 January 1919 and struck from the Navy Register
  • Returned to her owner 4 February 1919
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 15 t.
  • Length 55' 8"
  • Beam 13' 7"
  • Draft 4'
  • Complement: Nine
  • Propulsion: One Mianus Improved Diesel Heavy Oil engine, one shaft.
