  • Built in 1918 by the American Shipbuilding Co., Cleveland, OH
  • Launched 23 February 1918
  • Acquired by the Navy 21 November 1918 at Cardiff, Wales and commissioned the same day
  • Decommissioned 10 October 1919 at Philadelphia, PA and returned to the United States Shipping Board
  • Sold for scrap in 1927 to the Ford Motor Co. of River Rouge, MI.

    Specifications:

  • Length 261'
  • Beam 43' 6"
  • Draft 21'
  • Speed 9 kts.
  • Complement 52
  • Armament: One 3"/50 mount
  • Propulsion: Two single ended boilers, one 1,200hp vertical triple expansion steam engine, one shaft.
