  • Built by Canulette Shipbuilding Co. Inc., Slidell, LA
  • Laid down, 31 December 1941
  • Launched, 17 June 1942
  • Delivered to the War Shipping Administration (WSA) as Port Hudson (ON 243308), 26 April 1943
  • Delivered to Navy by WSA, January 1945
  • Name Wabaquasset (YTB-724) approved by the Navy, 24 March 1945
  • Never saw actual Naval service; acquired with "machinery in exceedingly bad condition" and laid up awaiting repairs
  • Returned to WSA, 07 June 1945
  • Acquired by Crescent Towing and Salvage, New Orleans LA as Port Hudson, 1946
  • Currently active with Crescent, almost 70 years with the same company and under the same name
