  • Contract awarded, 11 July 1958
  • Laid down, 15 July 1959
  • Launched, 22 April 1960
  • Delivered to the Navy and placed in service as Marin (YTB-753), 06 June 1960
  • Initially assigned to 10th Naval District, Naval Base Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico
  • Later transferred to Guantanamo Bay
  • Placed out of service, date unknown
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 21 May 1991
  • Transferred to the Maritime Administration, 20 October 1994
  • Sold to McAllister Towing, Newport News, VA and renamed Stacy McAllister (ON 1123700), 2000
  • Probably never placed in service by McAllister
  • Purchased by Basic Marine, Escanaba MI and renamed Marin, 2006
  • Intended to be refurbished, but instead used as spares source
  • Broken up at Basic's yard, late 2010s

    Marin 46k Ex-Marin (YTB-753) while undergoing inspection at Wharf 2 of the Welland Canal, 8:36 a.m. 23 June 2006. The tug had come from Norfolk, VA,via the Erie Canal at Oswego, NY, bound for Escanaba, MI.
