  • Mizar was assigned to the Naval Ordinance Testing Station, Long Beach, CA.
  • Reclassified Miscellaneous Unclassified IX-505, name withdrawn
  • Placed out of service and struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
  • Final Disposition, disposed of, sold by Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service (DRMS) for reuse/conversion, 1 April 1979
  • Propulsion system converted to a twin screw configuration by Marine Power and Equipment of Seattle, WA in 1981
  • Sold to Clear Water Marine Towing of Pennsylvania in 2001, renamed Marine Explorer
  • Sold to Immels Marine, Inc. of St. Thomas, U.S.Virgin Islands in 2004, renamed Courageous
