Steel-hulled Water Barge / Fuel Barge (Self-propelled):
  • Built, date unknown, as S.O. Co. No. 75 for the Standard Oil Co. of New York, by American Steel Barge Co. Superior, WI.
  • Launched, date unknown
  • Sold to the US Navy Bureau of Equipment, 1 August 1898, designated Water Barge No. 2
  • Allocated to Culebra, Puerto Rico from 1898 to 1911
  • Reassigned to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba from 1911 to 1914
  • Reassigned to Key West, FL., 25 February 1914, for conversion to fuel oil barge, designated Fuel Oil Barge No. 10
  • Determined by Board of Survey, 11 July 1919, as too old for repair
  • Board of Survey, 11 February 1920, recommended stripping and hull sold for scrap
  • Ordered to be held, 9 April 1920, at Key West for emergencies until replaced
  • Sold in 1929 to the Petroleum Navigation Co. of Houston, TX and named Petroleum No. 1
  • Final Disposition, scrapped in 1948
