Fuel Oil Barge (Non-Self-propelled):
  • Laid down, in 1943, under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 1224) as a concrete-hull unnamed non-self propelled Fuel Oil Barge at Concrete Ship Constructors, Inc., National City CA.
  • Launched, date unknown
  • Acquired by the 11th Naval District by purchase from the Maritime Commission, 31 August 1943, at a cost of $2,900,000
  • Towed to Pearl Harbor by the fleet tug USS Tawasa (ATF-92), arriving, 5 November 1943
  • Placed in service as YON-160 and assigned to the advance base at Funafuti, Ellice Islands from December 1943 until ordered to Bikini Atoll to participate in Operation Crossroads in March 1946
  • Final Dispostion, heavily damaged during Test Able and finally sunk by Test Baker, 25 July 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 15 August 1946
