Concrete Non-self-propelled Gasoline Barge:
  • Built by Concrete Ship Constructions Inc., National City, CA (YN 16)
  • Planned as a unnamed Maritime Commission (B7-A2) barge under Maritime Commission contract (hull #1230)
  • Laid down, 11 August 1943
  • Launched, 09 October 1943
  • Delivered and placed in service as YOGN-82, 07 December 1943
  • During World War II YOGN-82 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater
  • Active in 14th Naval District from February 1953
  • Arrived at Midway for service, 02 July 1954
  • Placed out of service, in reserve, March 1959
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 01 November 1959
  • Acquired by Powell River Company for use as breakwater for their log pond at Powell River, British Columbia, 1961
  • Final description, scuttled as a reef off Powell River, 23 June 2018
