YR-37 was transferred to Paraguay
YR-24 Class Floating Workshop:
  • Laid down, 14 December 1941, at Navy Yard Mare Island, Vallejo, CA.
  • Launched, 12 January 1942
  • Delivered and placed in service, as non-self propelled Floating Workshop YR-37, 15 May 1942, location unknown, allocated to the 11th Naval District
  • Placed out of service, date unknown, Jacksonville, FL.
  • Transferred on loan to Paraguay, 1 February 1965
    Towed by Argentine naval tug from Jacksonville to Rio de la Plata and by Paraguayan vessels to Asuncion, arrived 24 July 1965
  • Sold to Paraguay,11 February 1977, for $18,000
  • Struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
  • Sold for commercial service circa 1993
  • Current Disposition, converted to a river cruise vessel - lengthened and widened 1998-2002, repowered with three 365hp Caterpillar Diesel engines and renamed Paraguay carrying 58 passengers with a crew of 22
