House Boat (Self-propelled)
  • Built by John W. Dickie & Son, Alameda, CA
  • Completed for Northwestern Pacific RR Co., San Francisco, CA, as the wooden-hulled sidewheel ferry Cazadero (ON 127756), 1903
  • Laid up with end of ferry service, 1941
  • Acquired by the US Navy, 02 February 1943
  • Machinery and superstructure removed with intention of converting her to a YCV (aircraft transportation barge) for use in ferrying aircraft from NAS Alameda to carriers at sea
  • Conversion never completed - probably never actually served as a YHB
  • Title abandoned by the Maritime Commission to the US Navy, 21 January 1945
  • Declared surplus and placed out of service, 28 May 1945
  • Abandoned on mud bank at Hunter's Point, 1945 - 1948
  • FInal disposition, blown up by Navy salvage crews in tests and remains scrapped, January 1949
