Completed for Northwestern Pacific RR Co., San Francisco, CA, as the wooden-hulled sidewheel ferry Cazadero (ON 127756), 1903
Laid up with end of ferry service, 1941
Acquired by the US Navy, 02 February 1943
Machinery and superstructure removed with intention of converting her to a YCV (aircraft transportation barge) for use in ferrying aircraft from NAS Alameda to carriers at sea
Conversion never completed - probably never actually served as a YHB
Title abandoned by the Maritime Commission to the US Navy, 21 January 1945
Declared surplus and placed out of service, 28 May 1945
Abandoned on mud bank at Hunter's Point, 1945 - 1948
FInal disposition, blown up by Navy salvage crews in tests and remains scrapped, January 1949
Displacement 1682 gross tons, 991 net tons
