  • Built in 1892 as steel-hulled steamer Alabama by Maryland Steel, Sparrows Point, MD. for the Baltimore S.P. Co
  • Launched, 1 October 1892
  • Sold in 1929 to Edmonds, Victoria, Canada, renamed City of Victoria
  • Sold in 1939 to Bank of California, to satisfy claims
  • Resold in the fall of 1939 to Puget Sound Bridge & Dredging Co., converted by Lake Union Drydock and Machine Works to a floating barracks for construction workers at NAB Sitka
  • Acquired by the US Navy in 1943 and placed in service for use in Alaska
  • Placed out of service, date unknown
  • Sold in 1948 to Victoria Salvage Co., Everett, WA, for scrapping, dismantled hull burned on the beach at Edmonds, WA.
