  • Completed for Narragansett Transportation Co., Newport RI, as passenger ferry Narragansett (ON 202325), 1905
  • Purchased by Navy and designated ID-1163, 11 June 1918
  • Operated between Newport, RI and the Newport Torpedo Station on Goat Island her entire career
  • Designated Yard Ferryboat (YFB-1163), 17 July 1920
  • Renamed Taposa to free up name for AT-88, 18 December 1941
  • Placed out of service and sold, February 1944
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 12 February 1944
  • Final disposition, fate unknown (presumably scrapped)
