Laid down in 1944 as a self-propelled covered lighter at Basalt Rock Co., at Napa, CA.
Delivered and placed in service as Self-propelled Range Tender YF-451 in 1944
Converted at Lake Union Drydock, Co. in 1951 for torpedo testing, redesigned Covered Lighter (Range Tender) YFRT-451
Placed in service at the Navy Undersea Warfare Engineering Station (NUWES), Keyport, WA. in 1951
Placed out of service, date unknown
Struck from the Naval Register, 15 November 1993
Final Disposition, disposed of, sold by Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service (DRMS) for reuse/conversion, 10 June 1995
