  • Laid down in 1944 as a self-propelled covered lighter at Basalt Rock Co., at Napa, CA.
  • Launched 1944
  • Delivered and placed in service as Self-propelled Range Tender YF-451 in 1944
  • Converted at Lake Union Drydock, Co. in 1951 for torpedo testing, redesigned Covered Lighter (Range Tender) YFRT-451
  • Placed in service at the Navy Undersea Warfare Engineering Station (NUWES), Keyport, WA. in 1951
  • Placed out of service, date unknown
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 15 November 1993
  • Final Disposition, disposed of, sold by Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service (DRMS) for reuse/conversion, 10 June 1995
