  • Purchased by the Quartermaster Department, 5 July 1898, from the Hamburg-American Line, assigned to the Army Transport Service
  • Commissioned USAT Warren in March 1899 in honor of Maj. Gen. Gouverneur K. Warren, commanding general of the II and V Corps, Army of the Potomac, 1863-65
  • Assigned to the Philippine Inter-Island Service with homeport at Manila, P.I.
  • Made routine voyages to Chingwangtao to transport troops and supplies to and from Manila
  • Made several voyages in early 1920 to evacuate elements of the Czech Legion from Vladivostok and disembark them at Trieste, Italy
  • Decommissioned, date unknown
  • Sold, 28 December 1922, to Le Seug Giap and Co., Manila P.I.
  • Sunk in May 1924 in the Whangpoo River, Shanghai Harbor
  • Final Disposition, raised and later scrapped in 1929

    Namesake
    Warren - Gouverneur Kemble Warren (8 January 1830 – 8 August 1882) was an American civil engineer and United States Army general during the American Civil War. He is best remembered for arranging the last-minute defense of Little Round Top during the Battle of Gettysburg and is often referred to as the "Hero of Little Round Top".
