  • Delivered in December 1886 to W. Watt, Glasgow, Scotland, named SS Marmion
  • Sold to 1889 to W.D.B. James, Glasgow, Scotland, name retained
  • Sold in 1890 to the Boston Fruit Co., Boston, MA., for $64500, renamed SS Bowden, reflagged United States
  • Sold June 1898 to Massachusetts Volunteer Aid Association, renamed SS Bay State
  • Outfitted as a hospital ship at the the cost of $175,000, paid for through public subscription from the Massachusetts Volunteer Aid Association
  • The ship was purposely intended to bring troops back from Cuba, but the ship's outfitting was apparently not completed in time
  • Renamed SS Aid in 1898, becoming operational, 15 November 1898
  • Purchased by the US Army Quartermaster Corps for $100,000 from the Massachusetts Relief Association
  • Accepted for service by the US Army Quartermaster Corps in 1898
  • Commission USAT Wright in 1899, the ship was used to transport Massachusetts troops back to the U.S. from Puerto Rico
  • Decommissioned, date unknown
  • Sold in 1914 to J.M. Poizat & Co., Manila, Philippines, renamed SS Gabrielle Poizat
  • Sold in 1925 to Cia. Maritima, Manila, Philippines, renamed SS Jolo
  • Final Disposition, wrecked at Malapasgua Island off the coast of Cebu, Philippines, 23 Oct 1933
