Non-self-propelled Dipper Dredge:
  • Built in 1891 as the wooden dredge Frontenac for the US Army Engineers, at the George Globe Shipyard, Oswego, N.Y.
  • Launched 1891
  • Christened, commissioned and placed in service by the US Army Corp of Engineers, as USED Dredge Frontenac in October 1891
  • Assigned to the US Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District
  • Rebuilt in 1910
  • Retired from Army service, date unknown
  • Final Disposition, Abandoned. Hull became part of foundation of pier for Oswego Yacht Club prior to 1921.
