Built in 1905, as Scimitar II Ed J. Howard Shipyard, Jeffersonville, IN. as a pleasure craft and packet boat
Launched in 1905
Delivered to the US Army Corps of Engineers, 1n 1906, renamed Control
Commissioned in 1906 as USED Towboat Control
Assigned to the US Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District
Wooden hull replaced in 1921 by a steel hull built at Dravo Contracting, Neville, Island, PA.
Steel hull towed to Vicksburg where upper works, machinery, etc. were added
Retired in 1940
Sold at public auction, 7 May 1940, to CAPT. George Prince
Final Disposition, resold in 1941 to to be broken up at Harvey, LA.
