  • Built in 1889 at Howard Shipyard, Jeffersonville, IN.
  • Launched in 1889
  • Acquired by the US Army Corp of Engineers in 1889
  • Christened and Commissioned in 1889, and put into service by the US Army Corp of Engineers as the towboat USED Elsie
  • Assigned to the US Army Corp of Engineers Rock Island, District
  • Re-assigned to the US Army Corp of Engineers St. Paul District in 1919
  • Rebuilt after 1901 (67' x'13' x 3')
  • Rebuilt in 1915 (75' x'13' x 3')
  • Re-assigned to the US Army Corp of Engineers Rock Island District in 1925
  • USED Towboat Elsie worked on the upper Mississippi River
  • Elsie wintered in Fountain City, WI.
  • Retired from US Army service, date unknown
  • Elsie was off the list by 30 June 1929
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown
