  • Built in 1896 at Howard Shipyard, Jeffersonville, IN.
  • Launched, in 1896
  • Completed and delivered to the US Army Engineers in 1896
  • Christened, commissioned and placed in service as USED Towboat Lookout in 1896
  • Assigned to the US Army Engineers Chattanooga District
  • USED Towboat Lookout worked on the Tennessee River
  • Lookout sank in May 1906, seven miles below Knoxville, raised, repaired and returned to service
  • Rebuilt in 1915, hull lengthened to (137.7 x 25.6)
  • Retired from US Army service 1923
  • Final Disposition, Fate unknown
