Towboat:
  • Built in 1920 at Hays PA. by Eichleay Contracting Co. for the US Army Engineering Department
  • Launched in 1920
  • Delivered in 1920 to US Army Corps of Engineers, district unknown
  • Commissioned in 1920 as USED Towboat CAPT. Charles D. Harris
  • Retired from Army service, date unknown
  • Machinery moved to USED Snagboat Arkansas (II) in 1949
  • Sold at public sale in 1940 to Charles Zubik
  • Rebuilt with a 450 hp Fairbanks Morse diesel engine coupled to a center gear driving a split sterwheel, tall stacks removed, renamed M/V Harry Z
  • Sold in 1970 to Capt. Robert H. Bosworth's G&C Towing, Point Pleasant, W.Va. and partially dismantled, with the sternwheels, pilothouse and forward sections of the cabins removed
  • Remainder of the boat was sold to Capt. Clarence Boggs' C&J Towing, Ashland Ky. to serve as a headboat
  • Final Disposition, sank, date unknown, cut up for scrap
