  • Launched in 1903
  • Christened, commissioned and placed in service in 1903 as USED Towboat John
  • Assigned to the US Engineers Nashville District
  • USED John operated on the Cumberland River
  • Retired from US Army service, circa 1933
  • Sold in 1933 to Union Bridge & Construction Co., Kansas City. Name changed to Lou Grieble
  • Final Disposition, dismantled in 1938
