  • Launched in 1882
  • Delivered to George Strecker in 1882
  • Purchased by the US Army Engineers, in 1887
  • Christened, commissioned and placed in service in 1887 as USED Success
  • Assigned to the US Army Engineers District, unknown
  • USED Towboat Success was employed on the upper Mississippi River from the Des Moines to the mouth of the Illinois River
  • Retired from US Army service in 1894
  • Sold to private ownership 1894, documented at Wheeling, W.VA. (Off the list by 30 June 1897)
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown
