AMH-2 Ed Bettencourt III was a member of VT-5, Saufley Field, Pensacola Fla. from October 1958 to June 1962.

Training Squadron FIVE (VT-5) was established in 1956 at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, by redesignating a Basic Training Unit (BTU) squadron. At the time these photos were taken it used T-28C Trojans to fulfill its mission: Carrier Qualification. Its tail code was "2S".
