  • 01 August 1942: Contract awarded to the Bethlehem Stel Corp., to be named Donaldson
  • 15 October 1942: Keel laid by the Bethlehem Hingham Shipyard, Hingham, Mass.
  • 06 March 1943: Launched
  • 26 April 1943: Name cancelled and reassigned to DE 508
  • 18 June 1943: Transferred to Great Britain as lend lease, renamed HMS Byard (K.315)
  • 12 December 1945: Returned to U.S. Navy custody
  • 07 February 1946: Struck from the NVR
  • 05 November 1946: Sold for scrapping to the Atlas Steel and Supply Co., Cleveland, Ohio
  • 08 December 1946: Resold to the Kulka Steel and Equipment Co., of Alliance, Ohio
  • undated: resold to the Bristol Engineering Co., Somerset, Mass., scrapped
