  • 22 September 1943: Keel laid by the Bethlehem Hingham Shipyard, Hingham, Mass.
  • 13 November 1943: Launched
  • 31 December 1943: Transferred to Great Britain as Lend-Lease, commissioned as HMS Thornborough (K.574)
  • 30 January 1947: Returned to U.S. Navy custody in England
  • 07 February 1947: Struck from the NVR
  • 24 April 1947: Sold for scrapping to the Athens Piraeus Electricity Co., Ltd., Athens, Greece
