  • Laid down 8 January 1942 by the Brown Shipbuilding Co., Houston, TX
  • Launched 16 May 1942
  • Commissioned USS PC-608, 18 August 1942
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission 1 July 1948
  • Transferred to Mexico in 1952 and named ARM Guardacosta (GC 31)
  • Struck from the Naval Register in May 1964 and scrapped.

  • Propulsion: Two 1,440bhp Hooven-Owen-Rentschler R-99DA diesel engines (Serial No. 6837 and 6838), Westinghouse single reduction gear, two shafts.
