Susanville served the Navies of the United States and the Republic of China.

PC-553 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Laid down 6 November 1943 at Defoe Shipbuilding Co., Bay City, Michigan
  • Launched 11 January 1944
  • Commissioned USS PC-1149, 22 June 1944
  • Decommissioned, 20 February 1947 at Astoria, Oregon and laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet, Columbia River Group
    Naval Vessel Register of 1 January 1949 lists plan for decommissioning and placing in reserve as January 1947
  • Named Susanville 15 February 1956
  • Transferred on loan to Taiwan 16 July 1957 under the Security Assistance Program and renamed Hsi Kiang (PC 120)
  • Struck from the Navy Register 15 April 1976
  • Transferred from Taiwanese Navy to the Taiwanese Customs Service 30 June 1972
  • Sold outright to Taiwan 1 May 1976
  • Fate unknown.
