Hutchinson served the Navies of the United States and Mexico.

Tacoma Class Patrol Frigate:

  • (MC Type T. S2-S2-AQ1) Originally authorized as Patrol Gunboat, PG-153
  • Reclassified as a Patrol Frigate, PF-45, 15 April 1943
  • Laid down under a Maritime Commission contract by the Consolidated Steel Corp, Ltd., Los Angeles, CA
  • Launched 27 August 1943
  • Commissioned USS Hutchinson (PF-45), 3 February 1944
  • Decommissioned 15 April 1946, loaned to the Coast Guard and commissioned USCGC Hutchinson (PF 45) the same day
  • Decommissioning 27 September 1946 at Seattle, WA
  • Struck from the Navy Register 29 October 1946
  • Transferred to the State Department, Foreign Liquidation Commission 24 November 1947, sold to Mexico and renamed ARM California
  • Scrapped in June 1964.
