Voyager served both the U. S. Navy and Coast Guard

Motorboat:

  • Built by the DeFoe Boat and Engine Co., Bay City, MI
  • Acquired by the Navy 25 July 1917 and commissioned USS Voyager (SP 361)
  • Decommissioned and transferred to the Coast Guard 15 September 1919 at Chicago, IL
  • Struck from the Navy list 15 September 1919
  • Commissioned USCGC Voyager 2 May 1923 at Sault Ste. Marie, MI
  • Renamed AB-18, 6 November 1923
  • Decommissioned 8 December 1923 at Sault Ste. Marie
  • Struck from the Coast Guard list after 1936
  • Fate unknown.

  • Beam 11'
  • Draft 3' 6"
  • Speed 9.5 kts.
    1923 - 7 kts.
  • Complement: Eight
