Patrol Yacht:

  • Built in 1898 by Neilson Yacht Building Co., Baltimore, MD for Charles A. King of Baltimore
  • Purchased by the Navy 12 July 1917
  • Commissioned USS Chilhowee (SP 525), 10 June 1917
  • Decommissioned 10 September 1919, transferred to the Coast Guard and renamed USCGC York (CG 10)
  • Sold 22 July 1921 to Charles A. Jording of Baltimore, MD for $280.10
  • Fate unknown.

  • Beam 16' 6"
  • Draft 7'
  • Speed 14 kts.
  • Complement 20
  • Armament: Two 1-pounders and one machine gun
  • Propulsion: One Williams boiler, one 250hp triple expansion steam engine, one shaft.
