    1. DANFS is incorrect in describing this vessel as the Spanish Barcelo built by Le Normand in 1886. That vessel, a 2nd class torpedo boat, never left Spanish waters and was stricken in 1915. Various issues of Ship's Data, U.S. Naval Vessels describe the American Barcelo as a steam launch with the dimensions given below.
