  • Leased in October 2002 by US Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM)
  • Accepted by the US Army, 15 November 2002, at Hobart, Tasmania, CW4 Davis in commend
  • Spearhead departed Hobart in December 2002 for the Island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean to support Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Spearhead conducted 117 Missions through October 2003, carried 1385 passengers, 7445.60 short tons, 3124 pieces of cargo over 67,236 total miles
  • Withdrawn from US Army service in 2005, and is currently in civilian service as HSC T&T Spirit

    264k USAV Spearhead (TSV-1X arrives at a port within the Central Command Area of Responsibility, 27 January 2003. The 98 meter-long wave-piercing catamaran has an average speed of 40+ knots and will be utilized on missions which can take advantage of its speed and flexibility when transporting troops and cargo. Spearhead is forward-deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
