  • 12 May 1943: Keel laid by the Charleston Navy Yard, Charleston, S.C.
  • 6 September 1943: Launched and christened, sponsored by Mrs. A. P. Kephart, mother
  • 7 January 1944: Commissioned, Lcdr I. H. Cammarn in command
  • 5 July 1944: Reclassified APD61, converted at New York
  • 21 June 1946: Decommissioned at Green Cove Springs, Fla.
  • 1 May 1967: Stricken from the NVR
  • 23 July 1967: Transferred (MAP sale) to South Korea, renamed ROKS Kyong Puk (PF-85) (stricken 30 April 1985 and scrapped)
