Laid down by Brown Shipbuilding, Houston TX on 17 July 1943.
Launched 14 September 1943, Commissioned 10 December 1943
Decommissioned 12 September 1947, Stricken 1 July 1972
Fate: Sold 17 August 1973 to Edward O. Sanchez of New Bedford MA, and broken up for scrap
