  • 08 May 1943: Keel laid by the Western Pipe & Steel Corp., San Pedro, Cal.
  • 12 September 1943: Launched and christened, sponsored by Mrs. Sue Frances Hemminger, widow of Bos'n Cyril Franklin Hemminger
  • 30 May 1944: Commissioned, Lcdr J. R. Bodler, USNR, in command
  • 17 June 1946: Decommissioned at Green Cove Springs, Fla. after 2 years and ½ month of service
  • 01 December 1950: Recommissioned at Norfolk, Va., assigned to NRT Training, 5th Naval District
  • 24 November 1957: Arrived at New York Naval Shipyard, Brooklyn, N. Y. for pre-decommissioning availability
  • 21 February 1958: Decommissioned at the U. S. Naval Supply Depot, Bayonne, N. J. after 7 years and 2⅔ months of service; custody to CO, New York Group, U. S. Atlantic Reserve Fleet
  • 22 July 1959: Transferred to Thailand, renamed HTMS Pin Klao (DE-1) (still in service as of 2004)
  • 03 September 1974: Stricken from the NVR with a total of 9 years and 3 months of service
