A college professor with a deep love of the sea at the beginning of WWII, he was the premier Naval Historian of the Twentieth Century by the end of it. This link is for an expanded biography of Rear Admiral Morison. USS Samuel Eliot Morison FFG-13 is the first ship named in his honor. |
