Roberts and the guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64) fight to plug up holes during a pipe-patching contest. The contest was a part of the Surface Navy Olympics Week, a deck/seamanship competition held in October. The Surface Navy Association hosted the event, designed to promote good will and comradery between all commands located in Mayport.

The Battle of Bunker Hill, fought 17 June 1775, was one of the first major engagements of the Revolutionary War. Colonial forces inflicted 1,054 casualties on the British, the highest suffered by the British in any single encounter during the entire war. The Colonial forces suffered 450 casualties. most suffered during an orderly retreat to fortified positions in nearby Cambridge.
