  • Purchased in 1988 by Sealift Inc. re-flagged US and renamed Noble Star
  • Chartered by the US Navy Military Sealift Command (MSC) in 1977
  • MV Noble Star (AK-9653) was assigned to Maritime Prepositioning Program Squadron Two and operated out of Diego Garcia
  • Returned to her owners after completion of her MSC charter in late 2001
