USAV FS-547 was manned by the US Coast Guard during World War II, later named Renate (AKL-42) and loaned to the Republic of Korea
Camano Class Light Cargo Ship:
  • Laid down, as FS-547, for the US Army at United Concrete Pipe, Los Angeles. CA.
  • Delivered to the US Army Quartermaster Corps in October 1944
  • Allocated to the the US Army Transportation Corps, commissioned USAV-547, 14 October 1944, at Los Angeles, CA., LT. E. M. Harrison, USCGR in command
  • USAV FS-547 was assigned to duty in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater - Southwest Pacific and Western Pacific areas during World War II, including the Philippines
  • Decommissioned, 27October 1945
  • Acquired by the US Navy , 12 December 1951
  • Named Renate (AKL-42), and loaned to the Republic of Korea that same day
  • Returned to US Naval custody in January 1960
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 1 February 1960
  • Final Disposition, scrapped in 1960
