Connection of ISF-2 Net to Fleet Mooring Buoy

Illustrated above is the method used to connect an Individual Ship Protective Net to a Fleet Mooring Buoy. This is how the buoy looked after being laid by either USS BARETTA (AN-41) or USS ROSECLIFF (AN-42) in preparation for the invasion of Peleliu. The net was laid around a battleship during pre-invasion bombardment. (See Figure 11).
