Eucalyptus (AN-16) is ready to stream (stretch) the net. Note the stern anchor wire stretching from the ship to an anchor she dropped about 500 yards from the end of the net line. She is picking up the end buoy previously laid and the previously laid net will be shackled to the new net, Eucalyptus will then heave in on the stern anchor and the new net section will be streamed.
