  • Commissioned USS Cliffrose (AN-42), 30 April 1944, LCDR. G. Montague, USNR, in command
  • During World War II Cliffrose was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and participated in the following campaigns:

    Western Caroline Islands operation
    Capture and occupation of southern Palau Islands, September to December 1944
    Okinawa Gunto operation
    Assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto, 1 April to 30 June 1945

  • Turned over to the State Department for transfer to the Republic of China
  • Struck from the Naval Register (date unknown)

  • Cliffrose received two battle stars for her World War II service
